About

Sara De Sanctis is a pianist, singer/songwriter, conductor, and musical director.

She began playing piano at the age of four, later achieving a classical diploma after studying ten years at the Conservatoire in Italy while also developing her voice and songwriting. Her passion for composition led her to the UK, where she studied at the University of Bristol with a focus on composition and jazz piano, and at the Eastman School of Music (USA), specialising in conducting, composition, and audio for visual media. During this time, she was also accepted for an internship at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions in Los Angeles. She went on to study conducting at the London Conducting Academy and completed a Master’s Degree in Musical Direction at Mountview Academy of Arts.

As an artist, Sara released her debut single Serendipity in 2021, which was featured on BBC Introducing and awarded in Italy at the national competition Sanremo Rock. Her follow-up single 15 Again was selected as BBC’s “Earworm of the Week” and won the Press Prize at the national competition Il Cantagiro. Alongside her recorded work, she has performed live across the UK and Italy, while also composing music for theatre productions and hospitality campaigns. She has collaborated internationally as a topliner with more than 200 artists and is now writing her debut fusion album, drawing on influences from classical, jazz, and experimental music.

Alongside her creative work as a singer/songwriter, Sara is active as a musical director, conductor, and teacher.
