Sara De Sanctis is a Musical Director, Conductor, and Pianist. She was classically trained at the Conservatoire in Italy, later studying music at the University of Bristol and at the Eastman School of Music in the United States. She went on to complete conducting training at the London Conducting Academy and a Master’s in Musical Direction at Mountview Academy of Arts.
As a Musical Director and Pianist, Sara has worked in professional and educational theatre. Most recently, she served as Musical Director in Hot Mess (The Other Palace). Prior to that she was the Musical Director for the final showcase of the Mountview CertHE students at the Exeter Phoenix, the Musical Director on Legendary (MTFestUK, The Other Palace) and Assistant Music Director on The BFG (RCS). Further credits include Dep Keys II in A Mirrored Monet at Charing Cross Theatre, Assistant Musical Director for Into the Woods and A Little Night Music, and Keys I in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Mountview, Keys I in Just So and Keys II in Sunday in the Park with George with Sedos. She also works extensively as a rehearsal and audition pianist. Beyond theatre, Sara works as a Cover Conductor of the Fleet Orchestra. Alongside her directing and conducting work, she is active as a singer/songwriter and performer, with original music featured on BBC Introducing and awarded in national competitions in Italy.
