Sara De Sanctis is a singer, pianist, and composer whose music blends classical, jazz, and contemporary influences into a distinctive fusion style. She began songwriting as a teenager while studying at the Conservatoire in Italy, having always found it more engaging to create her own music than to perform others’ compositions. After releasing her debut singles, Serendipity, which reached the final of the national Italian competition Sanremo Rock and was featured on BBC Introducing, and 15 Again, which won the Press Prize at the national competition Il Cantagiro and was selected as BBC Introducing’s Earworm of the Week, she is currently writing her debut album.
Her music draws inspiration from artists such as Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Claude Fontaine, Gentle Giant, and Björk, combining intricate harmonies, improvisation, and experimental textures. She has collaborated as a topliner with over 200 artists internationally and performed in a variety of settings, including live sessions and recordings featured on UK platforms.
In addition to her solo work, Sara has an electronic music alias under which she has collaborated with over 200 artists worldwide. Notable releases include the single Uh Oh (Never Gonna Leave You) with Leandro Da Silva and a remix of Fading with Richard Earnshaw, both of which reached the top lists on Beatport.
